Proven Carbon Capture & Storage
in Western Canadian Sedimentary Basin
Bsed on the study from BC Geoscience, total calculated CO₂ storage potential, including
50 % calculations for aquifers is greater than 3 Billion tonnes in North East British Columbia area
Strategic CCS Infrastructure
and Transportation Logistics
ZENOVA ENERGY is deeply committed to delivering ultra-low carbon energy. By integrating advanced Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) infrastructure directly into our production mechanism, we ensure that over 95 % of the CO₂ generated during the ammonia synthesis process is captured at the source and permanently isolated from the atmosphere.
Source Capture
Outperforming global standards by capturing over 2 Million TPA of CO₂ directly from our floating production facility.
Secured Rail Logistics
Captured liquified CO₂ is safely transported via specialized, insulated tank cars around 1,100 km utilizing the established CN Rail network to CCS Hub in British Columbia.
Permanent Sequestration Hub
near Taylor, British Columbia
The liquefied CO₂ reaches its final destination near Taylor, British Columbia, where it is injected into deep, stable aquifer formations for permanent underground storage similar with Shell's Quest and ACTL project in Western Canadian Sedimentary Basin.
Shell Quest Project
Since 2015, this pioneering commercial-scale project has safely and permanently stored over 10 million tonnes of CO₂ in deep saline aquifers 2 km underground, completely proving leakage free sequestration through a rigorous monitoring framework (MMV).
Alberta Carbon Trunk Line (ACTL)
Featuring a 240-km pipeline with a world-class capacity of up to 14.6 million tonnes of CO₂ per year, it successfully validates the commercial and logistical feasibility of gathering CO₂ from various industrial sources and transporting it safely over long distances for permanent geological storage.

Unrivaled Environmental Value (CI Edge)
By utilizing Canada's low-Carbon Intensity(CI) natural gas feedstock with top-tier CCS execution and British Columbia’s 98% renewable hydro-powered electrical grid,
ZENOVA ENERGY could be achieving an industry-leading CI.
Target CI < 1 kg CO₂e / kg H₂
This world-class environmental profile translates to a decisive competitive edge in international clean energy auctions such as South Korea and Japanese Power Auction, drastically reducing emissions compared to conventional Marine Gas Oil (MGO) and traditional grey energy alternatives.
